RESOURCES

This page was created to provide new clients with valuable resources that can help them determine exactly the website they envision! Remember, a website needs to be stylistically appropriate for your brand or service, so items such as custom fonts and color schemes are crucial to that first impression. It can also be daunting to generate the right text and visual media to fill your pages, but an organized approach with the proper tools can make it so much easier! We recommend each of the following sites and their software for these purposes:

The first thing we recommend is browsing other websites that are relative to your business or field – perhaps sites belonging to your competitors – then select a few that you like or identify certain aspects that you would like to see applied to your own site! Simply copy the urls of those sites and provide them in an email or document.

  • Color Palette: The colors of a website sets the mood and tone, an ambient reflection of your brand that ties everything together. Here are a few sites that have free color selection software that enables you to generate Hex codes which can be referenced by the designer.
  • Fonts: There is only one site we really recommend for fonts and that is Google Fonts, it has a vast library of fonts that you can use license free. All you have to do is provide the link to two fonts, one for a title font, and another for a subtitle font.
  • Photos / Pictures: There are popular sites where you can acquire licensed photos at various prices, such as istockphoto.com and shutterstock.com. You will likely need to find some of your pictures there, but there are a few great FREE stock photo sites as well.

    • Unsplash for the widest variety of free stock images (and integrations)
    • Pixabay for a variety of media types
    • Pexels for adding simple enhancements and overlays
    • Burst for eCommerce companies
    • New Old Stock for vintage photos
    • 123RF for a mix of AI-generated and stock photos
    • Flickr for interacting with the photography community
